This asset defines an entry for a sound effect, an asset which is able to play a sound, either from a trigger-ish volume or an event.

Format[edit]

SFX are object assets, so they start with their 0x8 byte header, then are followed by:

Offset Type Description
0x8 byte Unknown. Usually 1.
0x9 byte Related to how the sound will play (always, only in volume...)
0xA byte Unknown. Usually 0.
0xB byte Unknown. Usually 0.
0xC float Unknown. Usually 1.0.
0x10 Asset ID SND or SNDS reference.
0x14 float Unknown. Either 0 or a very large number.
0x18 int Unknown.
0x1C Vector3 Position
0x28 float Minimum Radius. Sound will be maximum volume inside this radius.
0x2C float Maximum Radius. Sound will stop playing outside of it.
